Hard to see past a Derby win in their game. 4th best home record against the 22nd best away record. Charlton have taken just 11 points away from home all season, with their only win being at Wigan. That being said, the 8 draws are mostly against sides in and around the top 6; they've drawn at Oakwell, Bolton, Blackpool, Portsmouth and Stevenage. Only Peterborough in the current top 6 have won at home to Charlton. Wigan vs Bolton is a little more difficult to predict. Wigan are alright at home, though haven't won in their last 3 at the DW. They have lost to us, Portsmouth and Derby at home, but did beat Peterborough back in November. Their head to head at the DW generally points to a draw; in the past 10 meetings in Wigan, there's been 2 home wins, 2 away wins and 6 draws. A pair of draws isn't completely out of the question tonight then, something I think we'd all be happy with. Also worth noting that Wycombe are in action too tonight against Cheltenham. Hopefully the extra few days rest will benefit us.
I can actually see charlton getting something at derby , two good draws, at Bolton and at home to Portsmouth , sure Wigan will be up for this and i can see a draw in this game
The draw at Oakwell was a little fortunate for us. Ball went out of play afore Kane passed to Phillips. . They do seem to be all over the place with the results. I'm surprised at where they are in the league, with a couple of those below em with games in hand (2). Relegation is a big possibility.
Apart from the key aspect of putting the ball into the net, Charlton were certainly one of the most impressive sides to visit Oakwell this season. They played a lot of slick football. I was expecting them to be in the hunt for a play-off spot. They are now in a relegation battle. I wouldn't be surprised if they took a point from tonight's match.
Charlton have improved under Jones 2 good points away, I'm going on a Wigan and Charlton double, Derby beat Stevenage in the last min and drew at home to Shrews and got beat by us and Bolton are stuttering
Looking forward to flicking between these two games. I think I’ll go for Wigan v Bolton. Santos has had his red card overturned it’s a couple of tricky fixtures for them both, so I’m hoping that at least one of them drops points
A few were tipping them for promotion on here in the summer, and aside from a few half decent signings, I couldn't fully understand why.
Anyone got any idea why we're not playing? Of the teams behind in games it seems to be just us and Peterborough that aren't.
