He wasn’t being endearing, that’s the point. He was annoyed at her and said good girl to be patronising as he was forcing an end to the interview. Every example people are giving where it’s ok are between friends, or colleagues, and it is being used as a positive when praise is genuinely meant. He wasn’t saying it to be nice and chose clumsy words accidentally, he was trying to put her in her place and belittle her. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Perhaps we should just tell everyone to fu.k off who speaks to us, it's ridiculous the press got nothing to report.

Careful, gegenpresser will be along to tell you off for expressing yourself using profanities soon. Or maybe not, as he didn’t say anything to korky, hooky feller or jimmy viz. Strange that. I wonder what was different about me saying it that made it so ‘gross’ but not when any of them did?

I probably wouldn't say it to her. But I don't understand what bearing that hypothetical has on Brendan Rodgers saying it to a 53 year old woman.

Why do you need to refer to her sex at all? They are a colleague. That’s a reasonable and sufficient term.

Do you think it's acceptable to call someone out as Thick on an open forum because they have a different opinion. Asking for a friend.
I use profanities a lot. Especially when referring to Tory politicians. But accept some may be offended. I wish to emphasise my Hatred.

How do you mean? I can’t remember ever saying that, and certainly not in this thread, so I’m not sure why that would be the reason that gegenpresser said it was gross for me to use profanities but no one else.

No I won't go into the subject as it's old news and dragging up old coals. But it was me you referred to. I said you did yourself a disservice as well as myself at the time. I'm pointing out we all make errors of judgement at times. If you still stand by it, fine. But I was more than offended as you were stubborn in your view as was I with mine. But I did not get personal. Ask yer Hubby as you consulted with him.
Cowboy is well aware, as we are friends that meet up and mentioned it at the time.
    I'll leave it at that.

It's a very simple point you make Helen, and it's baffling that so many still can't grasp it.

You kind of have brought it up though so why bother? Just seems a bit childish.

Seeing as you haven't a clue what it's about, I was pointing out to Jamdrop the incident. About being courteous. It was relevant. I was offended at the time.
Ever heard the term Pot, kettle, black.
