Amazing int it, 2 weeks since and folks were writing us off for automatic places, some are definitely too quick to judge the immediate results, there is plenty more twists n turns to be had but we are right in the mix.....COYR
Positive thing for us is that we can still get better, I'd love us to do it and hold on to most of these players.
Got to hold my hands up I said just after that Kane interview there was no chance this lot are getting us promoted, never too down on Collins felt a bit sorry for him didn't think the players had the heart for it. Well I was wrong ,shoved it right up my rear end it's on definitely on ureds.
Just for my own interest…and because it may be true that I have too much time on my hands…a couple of weeks ago I sat and recorded every trophy won by English league teams since my year zero, I.e. since I attended my first Reds match (Reds 4 Workington 0, Easter 1977). I did it for all current 92 league teams, but also made a note of ex-league teams that had won trophies, and I included all competitive domestic, European and World trophies, including play-off trophies and FA Trophy/FA Vase for teams that had played in those competitions, and included leagues down to and including the Conference. Since Easter 1977 only 15 current league teams haven’t won a league title, us being one of them. To make us feel better though, another of the 15 was Wednesday. Spurs are the only Premier League team not to have won a league title. It threw up some interesting results. For example, Wigan Athletic have won the third flight league title 4 times. We’ve had plenty of promotions (I noted down all promotions too), but the nearest we came was probably under Stendel, where I think we would have finished above Luton, had either Kieffer Moore or Cauley Woodrow not missed a third of the season due to injury.
Anyone else absolutely $hitting bricks about next Tuesday? Especially after last season's result. Given what happened last night, it's as huge as they come. Bigger than last setdi, I'd argue.
Just do not lose is my attitude. A draw with them will not hurt us at all. We would still have a game in hand over them, they will be more desperate to win than us I think.
Surely we have to go for win, there a decent side but so are we and we at home, let’s go out to beat em like we did in play offs
I thought at the beginning of the season Bolton would win the league kept most of the squad together continuity with Evatt. The only time I've seen them this season is against us so not a big sample size but I wasn't impressed if we'd taken our really good chances we would have beaten them comfortably. Our recent form with them other than when Mads got sent off is good,we've sorted the back 3 out I think we have every reason to feel confident
A brilliant position to be in, but there's gonna be many twists and turns to come, and we're obviously not going to just win all our remaining games. Properly tough match on Saturday
It’s Saturday that worries me. Get beat by Wycombe and next Tuesday is probably must win. Beat them and a point at home to Bolton is perfectly fine.
Yeah we’ve all been watching Barnsley long enough to know that things never turn out how we planned them and especially with 39 points to play for nothing is certain .
Hope we get a similar crowd as last Saturday, just as noisy. I’m definitely travelling and I would hope many more can make it from the exiled amongst us. That goes for locals as well who often can’t be bothered even though they have a season ticket. The Reds are playing some wonderful stuff now and need all the support we can provide to get over that line. I don’t believe for one second that any of the top three are better than us
Last seasons result was down to Mads getting sent off after about 10 minutes by a referee all too willing to listen to the opinion of the Bolton players when making decisions. He wasn't going to even book Mads until the ex little piggy scum Lee got in his ear.
