Harsh. Luke was decent for us last season.

 

Agreed, I wanted us to keep him. Early on last season he was probably our most important player at one point, definitely one of. I can see why he got recommended to us - he had a good loan spell & played plenty for Coventry a lot the year prior. Still only 25 and is yet to enter his prime. Get his head right & keep fit I think he'll have a very decent career.

At the start of the year I thought Styles was a massive upgrade on Luke. I was badly mistaken.

 

Yep he tried hard when his lucrative 4 year contract was coming to an end.

 

Had quite a few mental health issues- been there myself and it's not easy ...

 

Not hard enough it seems Given where he went. (Admittedly nearer home given his homesickness issue)

 

I've got nothing against him and wish him well but he was our player for four years and gave us very little return over that period on what was probably a significant outlay.

 

How many people who have money and are comfortable hurt/kill themselves? This reeks of saying he used us & didn't try, mate. I always thought he had effort and hard work when he played, regardless of performance.

 

I wonder if he regrets leaving us. He should wasting away in mid table with just seven goals to his name. His best season for us was when he needed to tout himself towards the end of his long contract. If he had stayed with us he would have really struggled for starts, especially now.

Just 7 goals this season? Crikey, that’s 3 more than he scored in 4 seasons for us.

I was never Thomas' biggest fan, but there's absolutely no evidence that he 'didn't try hard' in his time here.
