    Don’t know how the country isn’t falling apart, i thought they were a necessity?

    Also strange that the press has totally left them alone isn’t it

    I'd have to say that in the great scheme of things in terms of the current prosperity of the country or otherwise....the Royal family are completely irrelevant. There's far, far bigger things to worry about.

    What a lovely person Charles is hey, getting cancer and all that. The selfish *****


    Charles is working but not doing public appearances. Camilla has been working but wants a few days to spend with her cancer ridden husband and Kate is clearly pretty seriously ill. Oh and William is working. So is princess anne

    Went to London though week a few week ago just a ordinary working day near the Palace was packed with foreign sight seekers taking pictures round the Palace etc. Definitely brings alot in for the economy having a royal family. And one has a very valid reason he isn't "working" blokes got cancer. Have a heart.

    I'd never wish ill health on anyone but there really is no need for a Royal Family in 2024. However, hopefully all of them who are currently unwell recover, and Charles beats that horrible disease. But with the amount of poverty up and down the currently, its sickening to see something the wealth they currently flaunt - all because they fell out of the correct vagina.

    Someone will no doubt use the "but tourists" argument - but they themselves make absolutely no difference. People will still visit Buckingham Palace as they visit Versailles. Its not like the buildings will suddenly get demolished.

    No issues as far as I can see. Charles, William and Camila have all been working. Kate they said at the time she would be off all royal duties until at least Easter, so that explains why she hasn't been seen.

    Maybe part of the problem is that in plain sight we have a glaring example of different rules for different people based solely on your birth and wealth?

    At least more people would get a shot at it! As to palaces, plenty go to see Versailles, the Winter Palace etc without any inhabitants.
    Having said that,everyone deserves to recover from serious illness without worrying about work.
