So we can now look forward to a game of "Count the Empty Seats".
The blocked off sections ... nothing to do with the advertising boards is it?
How many seats are we losing revenue on?

Thats an interesting take - we sell out our home end and you can only see it as a negative

It's not a moan or being negative. Just an observation based on previous games.
I hope the place is rocking !!

Hopefully watching the game will be more entertaining than counting seats.

Well me and my son won’t be there so that’s two less seats that will be empty but in theory paid for. Don’t do midweek games as distance to travel and get back is just too late.

The club can do nothing if people dont come and don't give their seats up.

For tonight. the box office yesterday was inundated with the U14s offer. Same today I guess.

Hopefully, some empty seats will be reused with the free upgrade for U14 tickets for kids who can't make night games on a school night. The club can't sell tickets that have already been sold, though, which is generally what people are moaning about with empty seats. I had a season ticket when I lived in London, but I often couldn't make midweek games. I'm pretty sure @Farnham_Red has mentioned the same many times on here.

There isn’t a method to give up your seats though. That’s perhaps something for the club to consider but right now it’s a moot point as it only happens a few times a season i guess.

I see Bolton fans can pay on the day, but no idea how many they have sold, Shortish trip but horrible on M62 tea/early evening so not surprised they haven’t sold out.

The blocked off sections are the ones underground at the West side of the Ponty that you now cannot see due to the boards. I sat a few rows back at a recent game. It's not a conspiracy theory

Should be the option for fans to hand back a ticket when they know they can't make it, so it can be sold to someone else.

There will be people who want to be in the Ponty tonight and are told it's sold out when we will all see lots of empty seats.

Plus it gives the option of either selling the seat twice or returning a portion of the seat value to the original ticket holder. Win-win.

    I asked the question yes
There is though, as I've pointed out in a couple of previous posts.
it's nothing new I believe. Email or phone the club. It was said to me at the box office when I asked the other day. By the head of ticketing. My sons daughters probably go 7/8 times a season. And he is willing to release as and when appropriate.

But I agree it maybe a point to announce when next seasons go on sale.

@barnsley FC any chance you can open more than two turnstiles for the West this evening. A lot will be working and getting there last minute...
