I was speaking to a parent at my eldest lad's football game yesterday morning and this parent knows Ann personally. They mentioned about her joining BFC! Won't go into detail but she was a fantastic servant to Huddersfield Town and I understand her departure has caused a lot of ill feeling. I think she will be a brilliant appointment for us. Welcome Ann and best of luck in your new role!
This is fantastic, the club have recognised that we were not set up structure wise previously to drive the club forwards, both commercially and providing support to the overall set up. Massive well done to everyone involved it's easy to criticise but they've recognised what was needed and gone and done it. Within the last month or so a CEO, DOF and now this new position really feels positive, not to mention the on field positives. Well done BFC smart work
Excellent appointment. Shocked to be honest. Didn't think she'd ever leave her beloved Terriers. She is highly regarded around these parts. Been there through ground change (I think) and worked her way up to their PL days.
Interesting connection to BFC. She took over from Chris Patzelt at Huddersfield, presumably when Chris came to Oakwell.
I am sure she used to work at GT News at Wombwell and once barred me out, as a school kid, for slipping a niff mag inside a Shoot magazine and trying to get away with it. I could be wrong, mind, but shall, tomorrow, don my clip on false beard, nose and glasses just so she doesn’t recognise me and name and shame me as a jazz mag thief.
Looks to be a very good appointment of someone with a huge amount of relevant experience. I hope we've put a Jean Claude van Damme poster around her desk for her first day in the job!
Just been reading about Ann's responsibilities at HTFC. One of her duties was players' registration. Thank god for that...our future in the FA Cup is assured!!!
Plenty of speculation on the Town thread about her departure, her potential aliases on the forum, etc. However, this was the stand-out comment from one of their fans. Kudos!
Reading up on this on Towns forum it appears leaving wasnt actually her choice. Good news for us though as she seems to be a great appointment
