Looking at that image - and the video, the problem wasn't that the defenders clumped on the right of the box were asleep, but the players on the middle/left who let the Bolton players through to follow up. Although you could argue that they shouldn't all have been clumped together - There was no way they'd be able to beat a Bolton player to a rebound and our players were outnumbered by attackers.

Yeah, seems clear from the pic taken from the away end. He must have been sharp on his toes then from what could be seen in the video but I guess that's why he got there and we didn't.
I've often wondered why players don't stand a few steps back and start running when the taker does so they have a moving start.
Yep. That's a fair point. Multiple players switched off and didn't do their job. Needed someone to try and block the cross and someone to not allow their striker to get wrong side of them.
