Didn’t they get crowds around the 49,000 mark when they were bidding for Europe? Might not manage that now though unless they double up on each seat. I bet a good portion of the crowd will be standing anyway tonight
Kills me to say this.. but however many million it is, is a good turn out, if what ive heard prices are is true.... £45-49.
At those prices this has to be a gate record across all Europe. Only the Super Bowl has to rival this for money on the gate, surely.
A put this out there….I would be sooner be playing both every season, whether we hate em or not surely it’s better to have local derbies than fixtures we got this season , so and this is probably controversial btw, if we go up I hope all local teams are in same division, imagine if its us Hudds,Leeds,Sheff U,Sheff W(Rovrum gone sorry to say)….plenty to look forward to there
Nah I’m good never to play Wednesday ever again. **** club. **** fans. Hope they go down and we go up.
£36 which is still too expensive. https://www.leedsunited.com/news/ticketing/33000/tickets-sheffield-wednesday-a
So the actual attendance was 30,032. I'm surprised it wasn't bigger, given how Leeds are doing. They had 29,038 for Rotherham at home. Maybe prices have impacted (as stated above).
Am I alone in noticing SYPD’s ability to stage this match on a Friday evening and yet when we play either team (and some others) it has to be at 6.00 on a Sunday morning?
Agree mate.. Checked the wednesday site for their prices.. south stand to an adult non member was £47.. with a £1 booking fee. Admittedly there was a range of options available and was cheaper in other stands but still.. wow. https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2024/february/wednesday-v-leeds-ticket-details/
I actually used to think Oakwell's capacity was infinite when I was a kid back in the standing days. I based this by noticing that, regardless of how full it was, there was always room for just 1 more. Later in life I realised the same principle applies to beer.
