A win was necessary last night for all concerned, coach, players & fans. It was a superb opening goal from Williams and I was particularly pleased for Cosgrove & Russell to have a major say in our victory. Some of the personal abuse they've attracted is usually found in a school playground, only spoken by adults.

I wanted to give credit where it was deserved to Cosgrove as well, for reacting quickest and nodding it in.
Sadly, some fans just will not give such credit when it is deserved, and its disappointing.

Lots of footballers have represented their countries at Youth level and never made it, plus I’ve no idea what standard the Portuguese under 18’s19’s or whatever age group he’s played for is like.

This whole self proclaimed "if I do it we win" thing doesn't sit comfortably with me. The long sufferin Barnsley within me just feels its tempting far too much fate, we'll come a cropper with "big I am" attitudes like that.
