Technically you need to bring your Council Tax bill. Never been asked for it at the Kirkstall one, or the Meanwood one though.
After you've uploaded your V5, do you get a physical permit sent out to you through the post or is it a digital permit on your phone?
My thoughts too. I got my council tax bill this week. They could have mentioned the change in amongst all the gubbins they sent.
Hopefully one of the things it could stop is free Commercial tipping. You know professional trades people that incorporate recycling/tipping in their fees, then, turn up at the tip as a domestic customer
Yes, you dump it in the advised skips/containers, where most is for recycling but their is still a ‘general’ one which may go to landfill or wherever
I'm in the same situation, live in London but when I visit my Mum I often take stuff to the Dumpit for her because she's 80 and doesn't drive. I read the BMBC web site blurb but I don't see anything for that situation, unless I'm missing something.
Can someone explain the last thing on this list please You need to make a one-off booking to visit a recycling centre if: You've changed vehicle and waiting to receive your new log book (V5C). You're bringing household waste from a neighbour or family member who lives in Barnsley or Doncaster. You've hired a van (must be under 3500kg gross vehicle weight). The vehicle you're visiting in isn't yours (must be under 3500kg gross vehicle weight). You're experiencing a bereavement. What does that actually mean in the context of a trip to the dumpit site? I hope people aren't putting their aunty Mavis in there
the booking system seems to even out the demand and maybe makes people go at times they didn’t quite want to before
A relative from the area has recently passed away, you don’t live in Barnsley or Doncaster, but you’re clearing out their property?
It looks as though neither. I applied yesterday and have had an email today to say it has been successful, I would guess number plate recognition.
It might vary from area to area, but in Donny you will not be allowed in to the tip in a sign written van at all, if you are a private person who owns a plain van as I was, there is a free license you must apply for that allows you to have 12 visits per year for non industrial waste only.
A work of genius that a scan of your V5C returns the result 'File too large to upload'. Words fail you sometimes!
