    I recommend Headspace as well.
Stick with it as you may be critical at first.

Headspace has got me through some tricky times in the past.
My thing now is close my eyes, put an interesting podcast on and really listen to it. Soon enough I’m fast on.

White noise works for me. The hoover or hairdryer sound on YouTube.

    TV in the bedroom.
    Does 2 things really.
    1. Sends you to sleep.
    2. Fekks the missus right off. Having to turn the bugger off when it wakes her up. :)

Hope the flit runs smoothly. Still got stuff in mi garage and loft still not unpacked. 3+yrs later. :)

Well what a day. Absolute carnage. The removal company was completely out of their depth and total chaos ensued. I think the removal company owner had massively underestimated how much stuff we had when he came round and gave the quote. At 5pm we still had stuff in two rooms, garage and drive of our old house as they didnt have enough van space and had to unload a van and come back (after having a lunch break). Our buyers were pretty annoyed (and rude) At 10.30pm we’d still got stuff on our buyers drive as the removal company had given up and left me and my Dad to bring the last 4 loads in his little van. New wardrobes broken, 1 unfinished as they left the doors on a van and let it leave. Furniture unbuilt. Various breakages. Removal company employees had a massive fight with each other and one threatened to walk after they arrived at the new house. Just got finished and been able to lock the doors. Absolute **** show. Stuff everywhere. I see why they say its one of the more stressfull things you can do. Shower time and bed.
Bet i wont even be able to watch the match tomorrow on IFollow never mind get to the game.
One thing for sure I wont have any trouble sleeping

It certainly is stressful particularly when moving house involves the buying/selling process as well as the actual moving day !
I was involved in house sales all my working life so needless to say, I haven’t moved for over 30 years.

    All the best

In a week’s time you’ll be all sorted. Enjoy your new house and let the stress subside.

I can sympathise, I've had two disastrous house moves. The worst was getting the keys and within the first hour the bifold doors had popped off the runners and water started p*****g through the ceiling. Couldn't find the stop tap, hardwired fire alarm triggered and wouldn't stop, flooded out the circuit breaker and blew out the electrics. We couldn't stay there for the first two nights and had to make a huge insurance claim.

You still in York @Gally ?

That sounds dreadful. Hopefully you can get your money back from them. A good removals firm can take 90% of the stress away, shame you landed on a set of clowns.

Get a note taking app and just type whatever is on your head into it. Anything that pops in there, get it all down. Then go to sleep, literally works like magic for me.
