I've just had a week in hospital. One of the few benefits other than getting better was the opportunity to listen on a podcast or watch on Youtube "The Rest is Politics". For those not familiar with this it is Rory Stewert and Alistair Campbell talking politics and occasionally with guests. Not only is it fascinating but so insightful into the workings of Westminster and Whitehall. I would recommend their 80 minute chat with Sajid Javid. It's obvious why he's chosen not to stand at the next election.
I am in hospital now. Had a weird turn. They think it's some sort ofinfection. But they found my vitamin B12 to be low. All is getting sorted now and should be out soon. Been in 3 days now.
I disagree, why put on an act ?. Yes he is a Tory but I find him to be an honest, pricipled and genuine person.
There were some. People like John Major and Michael Heseltine had principles - although we might not agree with them - and were relatively honest. Most of those that were left were purged in 2019 though.
Kenneth Clarke, Heseltine & a few others were people I could respect, but disagree with. The current lot are just beyond the pale, right wing nationalist idiots, who have no real idea about economics, other than lining their own pockets & their donors & playing up to the right wing press & TV.. They have left the country in the worst place we have been in since the 70's.
Oh & fkin Currie said Miners wives would have affairs due to Miners doing shift work the lovely person lovely person lovely person
Unless you are being flippantly provocative your comment is nothing short of peurile and crass. Rory Stewart is not a Tory as he resigned from the party in October 2019 on matters of principle and his current allegiance is to no political party. You should watch "The Rest is Politics" with an objective mindset, you may then resist making daft generalities. I'd like to think you're being flippantly provocative for the craic.
The Rest Is Politics is a superb, civilized overview of the political scene, and available as a podcast twice per week. An awful lot of sense talked between Rory and Alastair. It's a great antidote to the tribal nonsense we get trotted out through the rest of the media every day.
Trust me. "Humanesque" is the closest I've ever got to being complimentary about any Tory, ever. Mr Stewart should think himself lucky.
Never heard that one mate tbh. But a bit rich from someone shagging Major if so. In September 1986, she became a Junior Health Minister. Among her comments over the next two years were—despite her not being religious—that "good Christian people" don't get AIDS, that old people who could not afford their heating bills should wrap up warm in winter and that northerners die of "ignorance and chips". lovely person of the highest order. (Damn predictive text) Penis flytrap.
