Chieftain Irish Pub & Restaurant for midday and the England game. Raining all day, so probably a little indoor pub crawl after, rather than the usual beer gardens.
That is true. I’m not expecting tonight to be a thriller of any sorts, hopefully I’m very wrong and it’ll be goals galore.
I decided on a whim to go to Notts v Salford as its 4 miles from my house and I'd bugger all else to do. Standard has been quite decent. Langstaff for Notts has spent most of the game throwing himself over and getting in the refs ear, Dan Crowley is looking about as useful as he did for us 8 years ago - some nice turns but no end product or drive. Salford have a 47 year old Matt Smith up front winning every header and deserve to be in front. To say they've only a few supporters and are somewhat of a hobby club, the few they've brought down have been very loud and passionate. Fair play to them. Edit: Jim O'Brien now on for Notts
B&Q Went for fence panels, fence paint, wallpaper, emulsion, a new seal for the shower door, some brackets for a shoe rack, strimmer wire. Came home with a £1.75 tomato plant.
Been to Harrogate v Bradford. Bradford better side but lost 3-0. started in pub and finished in Harrogate Irish bar...back to chippy in tarn. good day out.
Barnsley FC. Grove st car park Funfair. Deep pockets needed. But nice to spend a bit more time wit grandkids.
Spent the afternoon dismantling the winding stem mechanism on a rare 1960s jump hour watch. The long dark winter evenings just fly by in my house
