Apologies if it was a repeat that has been discussed before, but I found that an intriguing watch; fascinating.

Wonder if Wales will ask for their stones back :)

When I first saw the real thing, I was disappointed that they’d built it so close to the motorway.

Handy for moving the stones though

Everyone knows that Stonehenge is where the flying saucers landed while people had nookie and celebrated the solstice.

I suppose it’s something you should see at least once in a lifetime. I used to live at Durrington, a couple of miles from the stones, and saw them quite a few times whenever we had visitors. This was in the 1970s and 1980s though and you could actually walk amongst the stones instead of just seeing from a distance.

There used to be a free festival across the road as well and big names like Hawkwind played there. It was a fairly low-key event until the police finally stopped the great unwashed from travelling to it so it came to an end.

I always thought the Avebury stone circle was far more interesting than Stonehenge though.

There was a fair bit of over reaction by the police there. Can’t think why…

Not Stonehenge, but remember school trip to Hadrians Wall. 3 hours on the bus, to basically see nowt more than a ill maintained dry stone wall about 4 foot high. Could have just driven us to Penistone. It's a rather underwhelming thing.

Drove past em a few times but never had the interest to pay em a visit, rocks in a field built by some really strong people a really long time ago, an nobody really knows why, who by, or what it is, not interested. Looks good though.
