My Ted passed away yesterday. 16 years old. Different, difficult old bugger. I got him out of Catcliffe rescue 2 years ago. Good lad with me, but shy & dangerous with any other human. Anyway, he’s my last one. I’ve lost 5 rescue adopted oldies in the last 7 years. Robbie, Ellie, Ben, Alfie & Ted.. I have some nice dog beds, toys & stuff. Free for collection in Wentworth. Or take to donation at a rescue.?
Looks a feisty character. It won't be easy living without a mutt around your feet. I'd be lost without mine.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, mate. You're doing a brilliant thing by taking in these rescues at an older age, giving them a place to call their home in their last years is such a wonderful thing you can do for dogs, i can understand why you'd feel the need to stop after so many in such a short space of time but even if it's the end of this experience for you, i hope you know how much good you've done by these dogs you've taken into your home. You truly are a good un and hopefully you know the difference you made to these animals lives.
You do a great service taking in old dogs for their last days, and showing them the love they deserve. It's tough losing a beloved pet, so to do what you do, I tip my hat. RIP Ted.
That's sad news ... again. You've done your very best for these boys and girls. But you know there'll be another one on its way to you. You just know.
RIP Ted, looks a cracking dog. You have a heart of gold saving the oldies like that, good on you. You've given him a better couple of years than any shelter could.
Sorry to hear that mate. Hey, I was just thinking of you, as I came across this photograph on Twitter. Would have been Epic’s birthday last Saturday and it’s the anniversary of Nikki’s death today.
