Anyone know what's happening at the box office? Trying to get a ticket for today's game. I don't have a printer, so need to pick it up at the ground. It doesn't give me the option to do that online. The website says it's open at 9am. But I keep trying and it keeps saying the stadium is now closed. On a match day, this is very poor. You'd think they'd open earlier, not later.
Why don’t you get it sent via email and put in your wallet on mobile Or you can just keep it on an email and scan at turnstiles
Whilst they're still called 'print at home' tickets, you don't actually have to get them printed anymore. They can just scan the QR code on your ticket from your phone. When I bring my father-in-law, I usually just send him a zoomed in image of the QR code.
Oh right thanks. Shame there's no one on the end of a phone to explain that to me. Just tried ringing again. But **** em anyway. If they can't be bothered to answer the phone on matchday, I can't be bothered to do a 3hr round trip. Thank God for IPTV! I'll be cheering on from my living room.
That’s a bit harsh. They’ve tried ringing a few times and have a heck of a trip. If the information online or on the answer machine is wrong it’s not their fault.
It’s called ‘Print at Home’, it’s not that surprising that the OP thought that meant they had to print it at home. I’ve done it loads of times and still have a bit of an ‘oh no’ moment when I first see it and then remember. It could be called a digital ticket with an explanation that it can be printed if desired. Or the current option could explain that it doesn’t actually need to be printed. It could even be called Print at Home/E-ticket. It’s just a thing from years ago that needs updating to be relevant to today. Regardless of that though, making a sarcastic dig about not making an effort was uncalled for.
To be fair to DriffieldRed someone at the club could have told everyone to SHUSH cos they could hear a random phone that was ringing somewhere in the distance, then once they’d tracked down said phone they could have pressed 1471 to find out who’d called then rang him back and give him the correct number then run to the correct phone answer it and give him the info he needs for a ticket, poor service from the box office
