We look better with him in the team, causes problems, what he lacks in finishing is outweighed by bringing others into play
I'd watch it again if I was you. It was a perfectly weighted pass from Cosgrove to set McAtee up. It meant that McAtee only had to steer his shot on target.
Exactly. He took one touch to control, swivelled his man, and played an inch perfect ball into space exactly where McAtee needed it with his second. Given we were taking 4 or 5 touches before we did anything on Friday, I think it's at least worth giving credit where it's due.
Tough ask for Cosgrove when the supply line only comes from our central defenders, because our “wingers” can’t beat the first defender.
It was a superb ball. Just that. Sometimes you have to give credit. Header, turn, pass, finish. Bob on.
I'm one of his biggest critics. I'm not gonna come out in praise of him, just because we won. Based on what I've seen, I think he's a really poor striker and a really poor signing. The odd flick on, or assist, or goal every 10 games isn't good enough for me. Of course I want him to prove me wrong and turn it round. If he does, brilliant, I'll gladly eat humble pie. But based on the 30 games I've seen him play and the 3 goals he's scored for us, I personally think he's been a really bad signing...so far.
Since Fleetwood away, I don't think Cosgrove has done much wrong and for me should be starting alongside McAtee. They're our two best strikers, despite Cole's record earlier in the season. The likelihood is that Cosgrove will be here next season too, time to make him a regular fixture.
Ultimately all 3 of them are going to get lots of minutes as whoever doesn’t start is likely to get at least half an hour. Right now Cosgrove & Mcatee deserve to start the next game but if Cole comes on & makes a positive impact it can quickly change.
McAtee isn't a forward. Cosgrove is out and out clumsy. Today he headed more clear out of their box than their centre halves did. Cole presently has no redeeming characteristics as he can't hold it up, or (these days) score. It's a good job Cadden can't cross it past the first defender.
It was good hold up and he put the ball into space. Macatee did the rest with some questions asked about the keeper but it wasn't a inch perfect pass. So yes credit to him. He also should have scored the more or less open goal in the 1st half.
Not a lot to argue with ther but on current form Cosgrove and McAtee work better than anything else. Cole needs a goal. He’s very much a confidence player
