Thought he did really well today when he came on. I hope Collins sees a way to integrate him into team because he gives us something we have been missing all season, that ability to carry ball forward quickly. I ain’t getting carried away but he might be that spark we need to get us over the line this season.
To be honest, I thought he looked off the pace and a bit ineffectual before he scored. After that, you could see the confidence in him and he looked a different player. Would’ve been some noise had his effort that hit the post gone in. He certainly seems like someone who can get on the ball and go past a defender, we don’t seem to have too many of those.
I disagree. His trickery in getting the ball around the defenders was something to behold. Played fearlessly like he was playing for the U18s. He deserved his goal and MOTM imo!
Hope he starts against Pompey. Deserves it for his goal. I just don't remember anything else he did of note. So he hadn't scored the BBS wouldn't be so blinded by the equaliser.
I think it's like Bobby Hassell said he takes 10 minutes to get into the game. His first touch when he comes on is like Cosgroves.. but he settled in and was a threat.. but his goal, they all count but if we had conceded that goal with the smallest player on the field scoring a free header from six yards we'd have been going mad.. But it ill give him confidence
That goal will have done his confidence the world of good but I'd still use him sparingly until the playoffs and then let him loose.
there's a decent list of things to have a go at the club about right now. I reckon Fabio Jalo is well down the bottom of it.
Not blinded by owt, he's raw and inexperienced but he contributed and had more of an impact than Cole did in the entire 90 odd minutes..........sithi.
His trickery does offer us something different, like I’ve said but I do think he started off a bit sluggish. Was slow/on his heels getting to the ball and got caught too slow in possession a couple of times too. That totally changed after he scored though. It was good to see him play for more than 10/15 minutes like we usually do.
Yeah he seemed to take a bit of getting into the game but in fairness, the pace of the game will be a lot different to the games he’s currently playing. Let’s hope the goal and performance after the goal gives him a lot of confidence.
Cole was poor today and has been in 2024 to be fair. Around December time I thought he would be getting 25+ this season but now I’m not sure he will get 20.
