Matty Wolfe ................................ Where is this lad in his recovery?

Just that really. We seem to be keen on talking about a building process for next season before the close of this one SO, how about Matty Wolfe when the much vaunted departures commence?

I’ve seen that he’s new posting he’s doing some PT sessions at the metrodome, couldn’t work out if he sacked football off

 

Well if he has given up on paying it would not have a huge effect on the squad.No disrespect to him but he would have a helluva training regime to get back to anywhere near a level to play again. I hope his future is gonna be good. Maybe go into coaching?

 

If he's doing extra training sessions, doesn't sound like he's sacked it off, sounds like he's busting a gut to get back?

 

Just the fact that very little news seems to be coming out , Marc. But even if he is progressing I think he would be a long way of being ready to play..

 

For some reason, I thought he had already left the club it's that long since we saw anything of him.

 

It's strange that we get updates on Benson and Cundy in the pressers. but not Wolfe. They don't even ask about him.

 

Strange one the season we went down you think this lad was the one bright spot, season after league lower and he really struggled! Can’t remember if it’s one bad injury or a catalogue of injuries, some come back but will he ever be as physically strong? Not lifting weights rather full tackled not scared of repeats etc.

 

It was same for Moon though bud. He looked a good prospect under Val. Its the throwing him under the bus the season after what derailed him after playing bit part with Val. Glad he's made a career at Burton, good lad.

 

I remember that very brief spell he had when he was one of our better performers and earned a contract extension, which at the time, I thought was great news. Since then, through both form and injury, we’ve not really seen anything.

Contract is up in June isn’t it? I’d expect us not to renew.

We’ve had big squad overhauls in summers before but the summer of 24 could be our biggest one yet.

I guess if he can get some decent training sessions in between now and June, he might have a chance. I guess a 12 month deal wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if he has some kind of fitness levels.

The OP is right, it would be nice to know where he’s at right now.

 

I just see Matty Wolfe as another Paul Digby, early promise but ultimately not really good enough.
