He was the nearest to the guy who headed it in, but the whole defence seemed to be playing musical statues.

Didn’t watch the game. Actually forgot we had been playing until someone reminded me 15 mins in. Wish they hadn’t would have got my hopes up that we might actually win or get a point and all to no avail.

He ran from further back, so whoever was supposed to be picking him up didn’t go with him, or attempt to block him. It was just poor defending in general. Their player looked like he wanted to win the ball. Non of ours did.

Only on the Bbs can we turn a violent attack on one of our players into blaming him for giving a goal away.
FFS,I sometimes think we're better off without those kind of fans:mad:

I’m sorry, but posts like this have started to really **** me off. There’s been too many posts on here recently having a go at other Reds fans for their comments about the team. Instead of having a go at the person, if you think what they have said is wrong, address the point they made. Too many people want to make it personal, probably because they are unable to put forward a reasonable argument countering what the other person has said. Therefore just resorting to a personal attack is all they are capable of.

As for what you wrote, could you kindly point me towards ‘those kind of fans’ who ‘blamed him for giving the goal away’, because I’ve just read up and down the thread again and I can’t see it.

I can see someone saying ‘from what he read’ McCart let Pompey have a free header. He’s hardly blaming McCart, he’s just relaying what he read. I responded by saying McCart was the nearest defender to the guy who scored (he was), but said the whole defence seemed to be playing musical statues. Someone else then said he thought Phillips should have jumped with him, and then I replied that the goalscorer ran from further back, so if someone was supposed to picking him up he didn’t run with him and nobody attempted to block his run. I went on to say that the scorer looked like he wanted the ball, whilst none of ours did, and that it was poor defending in general.

Which part of all that is blaming McCart for giving the goal away? You seem very angry with whoever it was and suggest the club is better off without ‘those kind of fans’, even putting a little angry face next to your words. But who? Who is the club better off without? Personally, I think this messageboard is better off without people who lay into other posters, something I’ve seen far too much of recently. For example, someone started off a thread suggesting all the ‘Collins haters’ will be glad we lost. Firstly, I doubt many fans have met Collins and if they have he seems like a nice enough bloke, so why would anyone hate him. Thinking he’s not doing a particularly good job or even that he should be replaced is a view on his managing/coaching of the team. It’s not personal. You don’t have to ‘hate’ him to hold that view. So ‘Collins haters’ is a pretty childish phrase to use. And then the ‘glad we lost’ bit is just daft. Why would a Reds fan be happy we lost? We deserved at least a point, if not all three tonight. It was one of the most positive performances we’ve put in for a long time. I’ve not been particularly impressed with Collins’ performance for much of this season and if he had been replaced earlier this season I would not have complained. But I would have been far happier if we had instead turned it around, started playing good football and winning our home games, before Collins leads us to promotion and goes on to have a lengthy and successful career with us. I’d have thought that every Reds fan would feel the same way. So saying that any Reds fan firstly hates Neill Collins and then would be glad that we lost just beggars belief.

This message board is for discussion about BFC, that often spills into non-BFC related issues. A cross section of fans use the board and not everyone holds the same view, so it is to be expected that what people have written may lead to debate. If people are incapable of doing this, addressing the points made in a civil and friendly manner, without resorting to personal attacks, I’d suggest it’s those people that the BBS is better off without..

Yep I think it was Luke O’Nien who fell into their fans and appeared to be kicked by the fans on the front row

Can I sugest that he is a decent bloke as I've met him.
He is doing his best with the other coaches working with the best he as got.
I know for sure the chants at Burton at half time hurt .
We're still in the play offs which if I remember on this board at the start of the season after losing Kitch ,quite a few were saying we were not good enough.
I was gutted we didn't get anything out of the game last night ,as we were as good as I have seen us this season against the champions.
We need to fill the ground for the play offs and back them like we did at Wembley last season.
    Here's hoping.

It’s a forum and not a shooting gallery or bitchfest. This is why I rarely post or read this “forum”

Ps feel free to rake up my old posts and have a dig. I don’t give a toss, I am usually pi$$ed when I post them anyway.

Yeah, and the one who lunged at Williams when he was trying to retrieve the ball for a throw in was just trying to give him a hug

He didn't lose him man for the free header that was Phillips. There was a little push before but he's never going to pull it back for that.

Its the same guy! if you step through the video he whacks McCart if thats the first BFC player to get lamped - in doing so he ends up taking a tumble homself. Hes filming it on his phone or something too. Then he picks himself up and heads backwards through the crowd to i think its williams - runs up behind him and gives him a massive shove in the back.

You’ll find that the post was a response to a post that was nothing to do with opinion of the game, manager, or season we’re having. It was about a player of ours allegedly being attacked after the game by a so- called fan.Yet it got turned into something completely different.
