    Clear foul on Phillips by the scorer of the winner which is why he has that space. Surprised by the criticism of McCart having now seen it.

    If you push, with two hands in the chest, the guy who is man marking you, just before the ball is played in, then you're going to have space and it's nowt to do with zonal marking or players not doing their job. It's a clear foul and a failure by the referee. Referees are there to stop this happening and he didn't.

    So it was. They were at that all game….loads of off the ball holding. There was one on Cole that was laughable.

    Yes it’s a push but come on, that’s something that happens in every game every week at every corner. Their lad wants it more than any of ours.
    We’ve got to be more savvy and stronger. Pathetic that we gift goals like this away time and again.

    It was almost the same goal as the 1st v Reading. Portsmouth had done their homework, but we made the same defensive mistake.

    I think the criticism of McCart was more aimed at his poor attempt at a clearance that led to the corner in the first place.

    I think if Phillips had gone down it could be seen as a foul. He did get a push in the chest with both hands, but it’s one of those, if it happens anywhere else on the pitch it’s a foul. In the box, holding, pushing, blocking and shirt pulling is deemed fair game
