It does smack of a bit of panic - I've not called for Collins to go - I would have done on Saturday had we missed the playoffs but it seems a strange decision to replace him with one of the heavily involved coaching staff who has lost every game he has managed at senior level
Ridiculous, panicked decision, which I doubt will make the slightest difference to our promotion prospects. Nice one.
Fine margins indeed. We were within 10 minutes of beating champions Portsmouth a couple of weeks ago, with an impressive performance up to 80 mins. And now this....
Right decision at a mad time for me. Should have been done around the Charlton/Stevenage defeats, this feels like the board trying to avoid the negativity if it goes bad on Saturday.
I disagree, these players have shown at times they have it in them.A reset is needed and I think we now have a chance of getting the result we need on Saturday and go into the playoffs with renewed spirit.
What I will say, is every single person putting pressure on the owners needs to be there on Saturday, in full voice. I also assume there will now be a huge surge in ST renewals.
Right decision but wrong time. Should have been 5 or 6 games ago or in the summer. Now is just odd. Season ticket sales must be through the floor
If we win and play well Saturday atmosphere will be different on here. If collins was doing well and was poached by a bigger club. He would go. I like the bloke too and he was dealt with a poor hand especially the quality at the back.
Looks like decisions are made at the club by listening to the vocal minority of the supporters. This is the main concern and now it's becoming a regular occurrence with this board and no one unless they are running away with the league will get a chance of any sort of longevity at our club. If a few start throwing the pukka pies on the pitch and start singing Pukka out they might change them to a nice Melton Mowbray pie.
