    Shocking decision frankly.

    Can’t believe they’ve done that.

Nailed on the season ticket sales are down drastically year on year and this is the only reason to try and win some round to renewing.

Not me. It's a juxtaposition, I really didn't want him to be our Head Coach any more, but I feel bad for him on a human level. Don't get me wrong, he'll not be signing on next week, he's been paid handsomely compared to most on here, but it's never nice seeing someone lose their job. But it had to happen.

It was obvious something was badly wrong behind the scenes. Teams don’t just collapse from where we were to where we are now for no reason. From promotion form to relegation form over a dozen games. The right decision.

Probably been done to save him from World War 3 on Saturday if it all went wrong.
Can't say I'm really surprised though.
If things go well on Saturday then we can all unite in "thanking" him for a season of success so far, if it doesn't then Devaney and Stead will not be blamed.
A bit of a win/win for the board.
Sorry though that it has come to this. Never nice to lose your job even if your bank balance still looks healthy.

For me, it had to happen. It should have happened on Saturday. Our form has been absolutely shocking since the Bolton game. There is no way we should be putting our whole season onto one game on Saturday. Let's hope it's not tippy tappy ***** on Saturday and our players and fans step up to the mark. We are more than capable of winning on Saturday and then hopefully can at least put up a fight in the play offs.

You dont know we've got more chance on Saturday all you know is that a manager you've slaughtered at every turn is now gone and its no doubt stressed your "I told you so " attitude, which is I suppose your right as a supporter.

Thing is, if goes badly on Saturday, Collins would’ve initially taken the brunt of the ‘fall out’ now it’ll go direct to the board

At this stage of the season he should've been given the chance to see it through to the end, for better or worse.

Could you point me to my "I told you so" post? If not, I would politely suggest that you pick your dummy up off of the floor and be a little bit more sensible in your replies. I've just said that it's the right decision but I certainly don't feel good about it.

And yes, I do know we'll stand a better chance of winning. The atmosphere in the ground will be much better, optimism has increased and that filters down onto the pitch.

It's been coming tbh and whilst the timing isn't ideal there's possibly been problems behind the scenes the way the players have applied themselves of late, who need to shoulder some of the responsibility.

Where we go from hear I've no idea but we just need to focus on Saturday

This is the worst timing of any BFC decision ever, irrespective of recent performances - unless there's a points deduction coming and we want a head start on next seasons recruitment

Think the guy lost the plot, not starting arguably your best two players in Cole and Kane the other week away at Stevenage was the final straw for me, not helped by his absolute lack of willing to change anything or accept the need to try something different once the wheels came off.

I've been anti-Collins for a while and thought he needed to go. The football surely can't be any worse on Saturday than it has for months surely, so in that sense I'm glad he's gone. On the other hand he's a human being, has done his best, so it will feel like a kick in the teeth for him with BFC in the play off spots. I genuinely feel for the guy with this timing. It just scans a bit weird at this particular moment. Best wishes Mr Collins.

Don't bank on it if we go 1 down.

I'd bet this has been the major factor in making this decision

    I would certainly hope so.

Nice guy aside, something needed to happen to shake things up.

Who takes control will be important and for me it should be someone who can really raise the tempo in the dressing room and empower the players to be brave and positive.

100% behind this decision in that respect, it's a brave decision and may not work but we are gambling here on the difference of about 12 million quid between this division and the next due to the money changes.

I'd be V disappointed if we just go in house as a stop gap. Warnock for me on a temp contract til end of season whether that be 1, 3 or 4 matches.

Wonder if he handed in his resignation and the board accepted it or if he was sacked? We just don’t know
