I've never called for the sacking of any manager ever, but I have to admit that the players don't appear to have improved under Collins. The really difficult thing to accept is that there's been no improvement in relation to the organisation of the defence. You don't have to have great players to be organised.

 

I am also hoping this is the case and we can refocus and reset. Feel sorry for Neill as a person but something had to give.

I wonder if season ticket sales have not reached expected levels at this stage. Our home form will not have helped. And our away results have been poor for a month or so.
If the results were the other way round, maybe it would be a different story. ?.
But let's get behind the team Saturday that is most imperative imo. And all is not lost as of today.

 

We're really, really not. I think you're overestimating how much attention anyone outside Barnsley actually pays our club. It'll be mild surprise, followed by indifference, then forgotten by the weekend.

After Saturday I don’t think it’s beyond possibility that the players had , had enough of being restricted by poor formations and tactics and had a word.
Plus I think the board would have been worried about the atmosphere being toxic this weekend.
I am surprised it’s being left up to Disco alone, without bringing in someone with more experience, short term.
I’ve seen it said we couldn’t afford Colin , but I don’t think for two or three matches he would be that dear especially as he really likes us.

Based on what we've been told by the club, I think it's a shocking decision.
But as Collins himself said recently, us fans don't get the full facts & I think that will be true in this case.
IF it really was motivated by 'recent results', then the board have shown weakness, incompetence & acted dishonourably.

In reality, they’ve won and lost as many games as Collins. They’ve all ‘had it in em’ at points this season but Collins and the board have had the bigger share of dogs abuse.

The board have done as some have demanded, so it’s down to the players now - no pressure
