Utterly pathetic. I wasn't arsed but my 10 year old wanted to show his appreciation and this was ruined by these utter morons. When they walk past a park do they go charging across the grass as it excites them so much. As for the stewards they might as well have had a day off. Utterly useless and a waste of money.
Did people go on at full time? I saw a small child and a bloke (same mental age) run on in normal time, but didn't stick around at the final whistle.
Yeah, absolutely tons of people the second the players came out and a couple set off smoke canisters. They only taken a few steps by North Stand and got sent back down tunnel. The lap of honour and award ceremony got cancelled and everyone told to leave the stadium. I was really pissed off.
Thick ***** should be identified and banned from future home games. How difficult is it to follow a request from the club not to go on the pitch!
This is down to the club, not the police, efl, fa or whoever. They've got the cctv, enlist the aid of any police cctv if they have it, but the club need to be enforcing say, 5 year banning orders, every year. Stop paying lip service to consequences and sort it.
The same child’s parent and mates were then threatening and swearing at the stewards outside the ground.
I did it once, when we hammered Newport on the last day of season '80... but I wasn't even 10 years old at the time. Its understandable when kids do it once or twice maybe, and their adults have to be with them. But for the Pratt's who do it though, with no kids, its probably because of far too much alcohol etc...
Absolutely daft. At the final whistle, I saw one kid try from the Ponty end but turned back when realising nobody was joining him. Don’t get why you’d do it? If we won a league title, I still wouldn’t go on but I would kind of understand it. But after drawing at home to Northampton to sneak into the playoffs, meaning there’s still another game to play? Fully brain dead.
Tbf I reckon he was about 7. They weren't about to slide tackle him. They were probably even terrified about touching him at all.
I was referring more to the fact he somehow got over the wall and the advertising board that was as tall as he was and then past the wall of stewards rather than the two who quickly caught him on the pitch
Can't people follow a simple instruction, stay of the pitch . It was communicated enough times before and during the game
