Grown men running on the pitch

I was annoyed that the kid who ran on from South Stand was caught by a steward and then just popped back into Ponty and steward walked off. I know you can’t evict him without his parents but I would have kept him under supervision until they came forward for him and had a word with them.

 

It probably made it worse the amount of times it was said. Fair enough communicate it once or twice but it was repeated so many times it probably geared some people up for it who wouldn’t have otherwise been arsed.

 

Going to be a lot of Derby fans banned next season once Derbyshire police identify them then.

 

You can can't you? I saw a couple of kids being kicked out of meadowhall at the beginning of the week and they weren't waiting for parents to accompany them

 

My daughter goes to uni in September so won’t be attending next season; she was so gutted that selfish idiots ruined what will be one of her last matches. I don’t understand the mentality of some of our fans.

 

They ought to publish pictures of them under the caption, these are the knobheads who spoilt it for the majority!

Their parents probably weren’t with them in the first place though. This kid was young enough that he had to be accompanied by an adult so I wouldn’t evict him without an adult.

 

Wasn't in attendance but wondered how many were on the pitch at the end?

 

Why would anyone want to go on the pitch after that? I just watched Derby fans invade the pitch after clinching automatics we've just scraped into the play offs.

 

I think after the final whistle of the final match it would be simpler to allow it. It happens at all clubs and no one gets a ban so people ignore the instructions.

It’s not for stewards to stop idiots invading the pitch. It’s for idiots to keep off the pitch in the first place. Why do people want to blame the club/stewards for the shortcomings of miscreants.

 

That's their job, especially when they're brought out specifically to stand there just before the end of the game.

I'm not saying they should be needed there to do it, they shouldn't but given they are they should at least make an effort.

Personally I'd ban them regardless of the revenue the club loses, it's a simple instruction - stay in the stand. Not like they're being asked to do anything that they're not already doing!
