    Go for Williamson instead from mk dons instead of war hammer who was at conman and Lees club last with a not great record there.

    Williamson is hardly likely to jump ship until the playoffs are over.

    Judging by yesterday's debacle, going into the playoffs without an experienced manager would be suicide. Just get someone in short-term, then worry about the permanent appointment once we know what division we'll be in.

    Sorry for the duplicate threads! (Admin please delete mine)

    As I pointed out in my post, I question the validity of Nixon’s article a quick google of the work permit shows Thalhammer does meet the criteria. He has worked 3 years for Lask, Brugge and Oostende which are all band 1-5 clubs and he holds a pro licence and we don’t currently have a manger. So there is no reason he wouldn’t be granted one.     I     think we’ve just interviewed Thalhammer, probably along with some other candidates and Nixon is just making his limited knowledge sound more dramatic by adding a sprinkling of made up drama to the story.

    Has anyone at Oakwell heard of due diligence sack you manager with one game to go on verge of playoffs and the bloke you're lined up can't get work permit. Thought the new CEO and dof were employed to prevent **** ups like this not to say here Khaled hold my beer.

    At this point, unless we announce someone tonight who will be taking training all week and will be a tub thumper (Flitcroft anyone?!), will we be able to do much? Surely they wouldn’t be ripping up the tactics, formations and player roles in 4/5 training sessions.

    Why would Williamson move from MK to Oakwell? Not sure why we are any more attractive than staying where he is. Quite possible we'll be playing them next season.
