No thank you. This board is obsessed lately with bringing back people from the past.

I'd rather have Duff (done that on another thread) or Val to be honest.

No it's just obvious Devaney needs some help for the play offs because he's Collins mk2. Nothing changed on Saturday. Still playing Cole...same formation, Cole didn't even clap the fans when he went off

Again what if he doesn't want the gig? Duff may also feel the same way.

Not Collins mk2, he's just doing what the spreadsheet tells him to do

Could go and appoint Pep and nothing would change formation wise, it's set by the people above the head coach, nothings going to happen this side of Friday just chill it is what it is, we need the experienced pro's such as Cole, Kane, Cadden and Phillips etc to step upto the plate and get the game by the scruff of the neck to give us a chance.
I'm not expecting us to go through but it would be the most Barnsley thing to go pull off a result.

There are posts on this forum claiming Collins should have been sacked for dropping Cole.

That's the trouble we've got on here, if a manager makes a decision contrary to something the contributor would have done it is used as evidence that the manager is useless. It's a total nonsense.

Fact is, there are good arguments for selecting Cole (he's our top scorer and better than alternatives) and good arguments for leaving him out of the first 11 (his form has dropped off considerably since earlier in the season) and neither selecting him or not selecting him is any indication of the competence of the manager. And you can extrapolate this out to any argument that is currently floating your boat.

No one approaches Hecky direct apart from YN on the TPT or the Morrisons meat counter

I’d be happy for Hecky or Duff to come in as Hecky’s come to quite a few games & Duff’s knows a lot of the players so there’s a fair bit of knowledge about our squad with them both.

Having said that I don’t think it’s a good job for either as theres very little a manager can do to change things.

No he's not. Did the spreadsheet tell Ismael to go gung ho, all out press, goalkeeper on the half way line Viking berserker then change to timid pass it sideways under Schopp? No. Both managers played their own style.
This idea that the team is picked and run by the board is ridiculous.
