Weirdly it looks like the crowd on Friday might be less than that for the Northampton game. Folks obviously thought we'd suddenly play like prime Brazil and storm into the play offs. Now reality looks to have kicked in.....
no sales to any supporters after 5pm Friday PLAY-OFF FIRST LEG TICKETS ON SALE FROM TOMORROW - News - Barnsley Football Club (barnsleyfc.co.uk)
Don’t think it’s weird at all, No ST holders to calculate with customers who are just paying for the match. Also, it’s Friday night and live on Sky. Anyways, if many do believe we gonna getting our arses kicked, I would say the weirdest thing would be if we had similar or bigger crowd than Northampton game
When it comes to ticket sales especially away from home, there are some who over estimate our popularity.
Not me, can’t wait. 1st leg of play-off against opposition that we have drawn with in both League games. I think it will be a lot closer tie than many might think. I’ll let you know how I still feel after the first leg
Its a Friday night of a bank holiday weekend. People will be away for the weekend, some will live too far away to make it back for an evening game. It was always going to have a lower attendance than it could have at 3pm Saturday.
For this game there were calls for giving us half the North stand at oakwell & both tiers at Bolton, there isnt the demand from fans to fill either.
For this game, well there are other variables such as day and ko time and live TV to consider apart from any apathy/discontentment. As for generally, I say again away support numbers have been good in the main
Wasn’t the away allocation at Bolton only ever going to be what it currently is,and not because we won’t sell them, because I’ve seen nothing to suggest otherwise.
