There'll be more there than just about every league match this season. Maybe not officially, but everyone who buys a ticket will go (other than the odd few for whom everything goes belly up that day). There's plenty of people who buy season tickets knowing they can't get to every game. Loads of juvenile season tickets bought for kids who go 2 or 3 times a season. Season ticket holders who have something else on for a couple of the games and those who stop going if the performances are crap even though they have a season ticket. They are all counted in the official attendance for every game, so it's always inflated compared to how many are actually there. The ticket sales for Friday and the official attendance will be an accurate record of how many are actually there.
This thread is often embarrassing. Why bother posting on here most days, following and supporting a team every week, and then opt not to turn up and cheer on a playoff night? The last few yoyo years might have skewed your judgment, but even though we feature relatively often, they've come once ever six years on average since being introduced in 1987. And if you think we're that bad, then might it not be a long time until another comes along? Why can't people leave the negativity and postmortem until after this three game knockout to get promotion? It's like a mass neurosis. Complaining about parking at Wembley when many fans would love to see their team play there just once. Man. By the way, just pay to park in someone's drive ten minutes walk out of Wembley. Take your own stuff. It's a doddle.
Besides, if the team's *****, the board and their decisions are *****... That's when the players most need support! Why would you not go to teach the board a lesson, and then impact the team you're supposed to love and follow. It's bizarre.
Yeah keep spending your hard earned money and time to be in a vicious circle crap manager/players re-build on a shoestring or decent manager gets best out of players bought on shoestring gets poached then repeat, all the while be treat like mushrooms by our owners/board or be lied to in some cases.
This one… https://www.pintplease.com/en/beer/223089/luminous_nights They’ve definitely got it in stock at the Town End one.
Looking at the maps I’d say East is just over 2/3 full and Ponty more or less sold out. Add around 1k in West there’ll probably be pushing up 11k home fans which is nigh on the usual number. Crap for a playoff game mind…
It's no wonder the official site released an article advertising a game everyone should already know all the details.
I bought a couple of cans of that last year and they were off. Exploded when I opened them and tasted of a mixture of yeast and rotten eggs! Kinda put me off returning for seconds!
This was my post following duff departing and the play off heart ache. https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/the-big-statement.322879/page-3#post-3130637 It's still the same, but now with a massive disconnect of fans (again) I don't see much progress anywhere else either
Some would say after the performances over the last few months including Saturdays that the players have a much worse attitude than the fans and that's one of the reasons why the fans attitude as deteriorated so much
Exactly this I would never have considered not going to both play off games, the players clearly downed tools, I’d suggest a combination of having to endure another 3.5 months at Barnsley, Kane, Cole, Williams and something behind the scenes Collins losing the squad and a combined with some non-league standard players.
After hearing all the ex reds wishing us well in the play offs and seeing Mads lovely smile again on twitter, I don't know how any reds fan woukd refuse to go!
I know some people just can't make the game and that's fine but if Barnsley as a town can't sell out the home tickets for a playoff semi final on a Friday night then there is something really wrong and I fear for our future because as a town that shows me we are not worth investing in by anyone why would anyone invest?
The cynic in me would point out that’s likely why they’ve all been approached to record one. We just need Neil Redfearn, Danny Wilson and John Stones to send one now.
