Not being disrespectful of people’s situations, I’m saddened to hear of yours Exile and having watched a parent to the end of a terminal illness my thoughts are with you, but I think some folk are in danger of taking things too seriously and personally. When did we start taking offence to everything? And as has just been posted, it was clearly a response to a video that had been posted on different social media by the guys at eyup and down.
I'm not going, work means the move to Friday made it difficult for me. Cheers SYP. I hold my hands up on being a coont though.
I'll be singing "If you're singing "if you're watching on telly you're a ****" you're a ****" Haven't quite figured out the tune yet.
Great idea that mate. I won’t be attending as I’ve just had cancer treatment on my eye. I’ll listen for your song and look forward to your next bright idea.
The OP is clearly aimed at those choosing not to go tomorrow purely out of disaffection. It's also strange that no one appears to be criticising the EyUp&Down post, which is essentially saying the same thing.
If you put transport on for me from Liverpool after work I'd gladly attend like I do foe the majority of home games - thanks!
well, after decades of attending matches at at Oakwell I can very rarely get down these days and I don’t care who thought up the idea ( I’d never heard of it) originally I think I’m entitled to take offence at being called a #### because I will be watching on the telly. I would also say the idea of the chant is one of the dumbest ideas I’ve heard!
I can’t get to the match as I have a foot injury so have to watch it at home on tv so I’ll be a lovely person* then and also probably not a real supporter either according to some
Jeez. This thread. I know things are a bit tetchy on here at the minute but the mental gymnastics going on here in a desperate bid to be offended is pretty pathetic. Besides which, my grandads not going tomorrow, because he’s dead. He’d find that chant hilarious. While watching it on the telly.
Do we need to create an exception for those people over-75 who are entitled to a free Television Licence?
All the best to you, pal. Off topic but I was working in Fitzy the other day, saw quite a few reds shirts. Great to see.
As someone else pointed out this was just a joke and a reference to that EyupandDown video. I apologise but I must have missed the part where all football chants and jokes were to be taken literally. I thought it went without saying but if you’re watching on the telly - I don’t actually think you’re one of them.
