Knocked them our last season. Yet to beat us this season. All the pressure is on them. They finished well ahead of us and Evatt isn't popular with their fans. He can't afford another play off failure. Their fans are expectant and well aware of our form. Our players can hopefully play more relaxed now the league part is over and it's a fresh start. The players will be well aware the fanbase don't give them much of a chance, so let's hope that motivates them to prove us all wrong. Disco has had another week to get across his ideas, so maybe the shackles will be off a little more tonight than against Northampton?
Jesus Christ, i know we are poor but it's Bolton Wanderers, not Real Madrid. They haven't got any players as good as Luca. They haven't got anyone who's scored as many goals as Cole. Their manager is fat and stupid. Folk need to get a grip.
I think this is a big positive for us, nobody is expecting us to do well so the pressure for the first time in months is completely off. The only way is up.
Josh sheehan is quality in CM for them so we need Connell to be on his best to combat him tonight, he's the one that turned it on the second half and got them back in the driving seat.
Can't wait for the brewery to set the tone and erupt into a rendition of "you're in the valley, the valley of death"
I think it tends to nullify any quality and just turns it into a dog fight. Which I like the sound of
Obviously I meant you were educated and liked to be aware of the news and current events so that you could ruminate on the world and discuss them with your colleagues. I'm approaching mid-50s and have never listened to Radio 4...
I was going to post similar. Been very ‘meh’ and glass half empty, but I’ve woken up today excited. Stranger things have happened! I think it feels like a bit of a free swing, low expectations so owts a bonus. It’s like there’s nothing to lose so I’ll get behind em, hope they have a go, and see where it takes us.
You should get an invite to the dressing room to deliver this speech just before kick off. Perfect rallying cry
They also don't gift wrap at least 2 goals a game, something our defence seems to do quite consistently! My biggest worry is that we will be out of the tie this evening. Our home form is poor, we give away stupid goals, let's face it, if we go 2 or 3 down then it's tie over. On the flip side, they haven't beaten us this season, they could likely be nervous and sit back, hoping to take a draw ahead of the second leg. We need to get a them from the off!
