yes was offside but very tight and linesman was too far ahead of the play

Can’t tell with the angle of the camera. Lino not in line so impossible for him to tell. It was marginal, you’d need the lines on VAR.

Bolton look like they can be pressured into errors but no-one's bothering to press them. We look ok on the ball in the middle of the pitch, an absolute bomb scare at the back and non existent up top. Big second half needed but god knows who that's gonna come from. Probably Bolton tbh.

Hope Devaney can inspire a 2nd half improvement.
    Collins usually did.

Yes not the first pass. The 2nd pass he's off side. Charles isn't.

The Linesman is 3 yard in front of all players so won't see it.

    But hes offside

Marginal I’d say he was on but lad who scored looked mor off in the build up
Linesman out of position so he couldn’t make one crap really

I may live to regret this but get Cole off the pitch. Get Cosgrove on if we are going to play this way we need to win some headers and I honestly don't remember Cole ever winning one.

I think it is, but it's not conclusive. They've just been discussing it at half time and the consensus is that it probably was, but there's no definitive angle, or none that we've been shown.

The linesman was a yard behind our last defender, nearer the ponty end. No where near in line, so was making a decision miles out of position.

Looked close but offside on TV.

Sky says it’s offside but say they are happy with that.

Imho...a fairly predictable half. We wernt as bad as of recent but it really is beyond belief we keep pumping high balls straight to Santos...who has been emmence. So when Cozgrove comes on no doubt we will play it on the floor!
Overall teams are evenly matched but obviously they have the advantage because our defence is weaker than theirs (oh and it was offside).
I fully expected /expect to lose anyway at oakwell, just because of how poor we are at home.
If we can keep this reasonable (not more than a 1..0)...we could still be ok at their place.
I just think overall their defence is much better and gor that reason they will progress.....unless of course the officials can do us a big favour (like they did for the owls at wembkey).

Charles was a long way offside when Maghoma flicked it back inside. They'll say he wasn't interfering but that yard or more was beneficial when the cross came in.

I think I agree with this.

Give Santos something to think about. Cosgrove if he can avoid the fouls he does, would give Santos a real problem

Watching at home, I didn’t think we were too bad. The one quality piece of play came from Bolton and was marginally offside.
Don’t know why Santos hasn’t been carded yet. That may contain his dominance a bit.
0-1 wouldn’t be a bad result, but we can hopefully force a goal cos their keeper is woeful.

I'm gonna be contrary Mary here and say I don't think there was an offside. Just watched Sky's half-time analysis on the ESL concourse and on every angle he looked level at worst. Oh, he might well have been a toenail offside, but without VAR.....

I think we're looking for scapegoats; once again this season it comes down to players losing concentration and just poor defending.
