I rated him too. Looked good when I saw him in the cups. I think he’ll be first choice right wing back next year regardless of the manager.
400 games as a player, 200 games as a manage, knows the English game well. Looks like a good shout to me.
It's sounds like you think he was good enough this season I would have give him a chance as we were not outstanding on the right.
not their fault is it? It’s just pissed down here and water now running round the house like a bloody torrent!
Yeah, don’t know much about him, but from what I’ve read on here it makes him a sound candidate, someone in the Duff mould
I feel very much like I did when Asbaghi got the boot. I don’t want to see another experiment. I was relieved when Hammer fell through. I want to see someone who knows the EFL as a player and a manager. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
The possession based style slightly worries me as many fans hated that under Collins but everything else I've read about him is super positive. I love the stuff about his man management etc. and he seems a very likeable and intelligent bloke. Far worse options out there for sure.
I’m not so sure it was possession football that our fans disliked. It was Collins’ brand of it. Which essentially was pass it around the back 3 until you either get dispossessed, or hoof it 80 yards straight to their defenders. Possession football with goals and shots on target at the end of it, looks lovely. I’ve listened to Williamson and he actually sounds reasonably engaging. I know this shouldn’t matter, but just Collins’ voice alone just made me want to stop listening after 30 seconds. I found it unbearable.
