Ballax. ******* refs. Two pens tonight, one is stonewall.

We had our chances so cant grumble.

Hope Oxford or Peterborough batter these *****. Just for that horrible w@nk3r of a manager.

Had a great go second half. Unfortunately tonight was the story of so many games this season. Horribly let down by the woeful defence. They've scored 5 goals, and 3 of them were absolute gifts that teams at this level simply should not concede.

No complaints. The better team went through.

That doesn't fit with the fact that they were better earlier in the season.

Kinda. We managed to drum up a single 45 minutes of the kind of thing we've all wanted a hint of for literally months.

I enjoyed most of that game, but it doesn't change the fact that we need a reset in he summer.

Fantastic effort second half. Can’t fault them. Let down by poor defending and keeping over two legs.

A spirited fightback that leaves me feeling a little less down. Grant changed the game once again. He deserves an offer. So many what could have been chances at the end.

But ultimately those repeated moments where the defence go missing has made it a bridge too far. The defence is lightweight and slow. Pines should go some way to addressing that, assuming he can stay fit. But beyond that. Hmm.

I didn't say I wanted them to win. As a former, temporary inhabitant of Oxford, they'll have my loyalties if they make the final.

We could always play the back three who kept clean sheets earlier in the season before we brought in the ones who can't defend

That response wouldn't have come with Collins at the helm 100% which is the most disappointing thing really. Where has that fight been for the last 8 or 9 games of the season.

Final note. Cosgrove has to be main striker and given proper game time next season, Cole can move on for me to free wages up, his purple patch is over IMHO.

2 more centr halves and a striker needs to be main priority now.

Well done Disco and the boys. Did us proud and you can't knock the effort there. It proves that lacklustre showings were more about lack of confidence and aptitude than effort mainly this year.

It was never our season, we've known that for months. Glad we went out fighting.

Do you think the Bolton manager is saying congratulations to our players or tapping them up for next season...

Not sure about that, we have come from behind (steady SD) so many times under Collins that i'm not sure there was anything new tonight.

Erm, look up which team has won the most points from a losing position. I'll give you a clue, it's us.

Yet, we came back from behind in the second half more times this season under Collins than we did for years...

Not sure about that mate. We absolutely gifted them it. Definitely better defence won. Ironically, it would have been 4-4 had assistant ref done his job correctly. Perhaps even the ref.

Feel much better than I did yesterday though. I know we've lost but least we didn't give in.

Rather Bolton go up. Posh and Oxford won't be as strong next season think posh are skint.

Bloody well done boys. That’s what we want.

I can accept defeat if we stand toe to toe and have a go. Hard lines, so close in the end.

The frustrating thing is that if that second half had happened a couple of months ago we might have finished second.

    C’est la vie.

I hope Bolton go up as they’re better than both Peterborough and Oxford so I’d like them out of the way, I’d fancy our chances more v the other two next season.

That last half an hour has given me more hope for next season already.

We can get at teams and win. And I’m convinced we won’t be as woefully disorganised at the back as we have been this season.

Let’s see who gets the manager gig and roll on August. Missing it already.

Points , why play Kane instead of Grant who clearly wants to play for us, and what a player Cosgrove could be if we had a winger who could supply him! And once again we bring on Cole who is largely anonymous!
