Anyone actually enjoy them irrespective of result? Last night:

Get flyer from office in Leeds 1545. Leave Horsforth 1640 for 58 mile journey. Takes 2.5hrs :( stress all way over about traffic.

Arrive 45 mins before ko. Park outside a house 20 min walk away. Leg it to ground. Feast on an overpriced half scolding, half raw 90% meat and tatty pie (90% potato).

Leave 10pm. Take ages getting away from ground. M62 shut for roadworks. 58 mile journey again takes 2hrs.

Bed at 0030. Up 615 this morning feel like 10 tonne brick fallen on my head.

Think I'm done midweek aways next season. Nor enjoyable at all.......

No reason for that game to be midweek like the Posh Oxford one.
Could have played at weekend with the final another week after.
m62 was a joke only made kickoff another hour wait in car park got home 12.45am.
Last season was Saturday then Friday loads better times.
It's all for the TV now.

I'd ditch two legged Semi's and have it at a big neutral venue on a weekend.

But there might be a case where a team like us finish third, 15 points ahead of a team like Wendies in 6th.
Tie at Old Trafford might mean they get 70k tickets to our 5k.
    Where's the advantage then?

And how does that work at a neutral venue Mr Dawson?

It was in response to Andy Mac. What I should have said was I couldn't see the point in two legs without the away goals rule.

I don’t mind them. If they’re far I just have 2 days off work and have a good sleep in. Worst one this season was Horsham, just seemed a bugger to get to as we were picking up a mate en route.

Road works and diversions are usually the worst thing about midweekers, but Carlisle away was a joy for views on the A66. Proper George Spicer tackle :)

Gave up on midweek games as soon as I realised it was affecting my job. I’m fortunate to have 13 weeks off a year and don’t work weekends so make most Saturdays and midweek games during weeks off away. Don’t bother with home games midweek anymore. But yeh, stressful if you need to be home at a certain time. Last Friday it took an hour to get out of Barnsley then another hour or so to get home.
