Attempting and failing to get around it. When he says we're "considering" appointing him, that suggests that the ball is in our court. More likely we're considering sounding him out, which is an absolute non-story. Unless of course the rumours that he's said he'll only come back if he gets complete control are true.
Just get it done, get him in early if he’s open to return and we can look forward to an actual ‘pre-season’. After the last couple of games Williamson should be completely off the radar.

That would fit in with the ITK post last week All just rumours yet.. but if the board want to sell anywhere near last season's ST sales.. and put a bit of optimism into the summer break.. then it now has to be Duff who comes in

The board need to do all they can to get Duff through the door, there is no better name out there to take on the job. He knows & will work with Devaney He will sort the defence out Maybe one of the out of contract players might actually sign on again, Williams maybe? He’s earnt to the right after last seasons miracle of getting into the play offs on the back of the season before to have guaranteed time on his side to build up a squad to challenge for promotion, if not next season then the season after. Get it done BFC & I will quite rightly praise you & find myself being more optimistic!
Problem with Duff, is he was left a great squad to work with - like Stendel was. When he went to Swansea, where the squad wasn’t great, he struggled and needed time. We will start the new season with a lot of new players - whoever comes in has to be given time. Even if Duff comes back, it’ll be a big job.

The man had top 8 championship quality goalkeeper, 2 defenders and a defender who joined a premier league club, along side probably the best midfield, top 2 at least. I can see us getting him back and him getting hammered because people expecting far too much
I agree I think people need to realise just appointing Duff will not turn us automatically into promotion contenders that will all depend on how well we recruit this summer but i still think he gives us the best chance of success
Yes miracle, at the time the club was on its belly after enduring what was an absolute **** show of a season, those players were nowhere near good or confident enough at the time thanks to that pathetic attempt of a season coached by two of the worst coaches the club has ever seen. We had some right crap on the books, Iseka, Oulare, Styles didn’t want to be here, we lost Morris for a pittance, Duff inherited a toxic dressing room. We only really got going last season in the 2nd half of the season. He probably wouldn’t get the same results next season granted, but we need stability & to build a squad to mount a promotion challenge the season after, or even the season after that. Duff is the best man for the job.
