Eric Nixon the Tranmere keeper was in the n3xt urinal to me in the Cavern Club lol - same with Roy Evans at Anfield:)

My favourite celeb spot was reaching for same chocolate buns as Anna Friel in Tescos - let her have them of course. Took me 20 minutes to work out where I knew her face from

Sat next to Rainer Haas, husband of Suzi Quatro, on a flight from Manchester to Hamburg. We've kept in touch and one day we'll have a night out in Hamburg.

Not at an airport, but just been to Liverpool for 3 nights. Went in this Italian restaurant on Thursday late afternoon after we’d dropped cases off at hotel.
Ian Rush and his partner came in not long after us and were at table behind us.

I once nearly threw up over Jimmy Hill at Leicester Forest Services. He was in my way as I was en route to the toilets.

Just remembered that I met Roy Wood of The Move and Wizard at a school parents' evening to discuss the progress of his daughter, Holly, whom I taught.

To be honest it was a toss up between that and saying ‘how’s the Mrs?’

Went to see a broadway show in NYC, when it finished I walked out of the theatre & was inches away from Hugh Jackman getting into his car in front of a huge crowd, no time for autographs but he was polite & gave everyone a wave.

We saw Mat Le Tissier at Guernsey airport. He was very shy. The current Mrs DR went and sat next to him and he moved straight away. He was last on the plane before it took off for Southampton.

We bumped into few England Cricketers on Singapore Airport. Cook , Anderson, Swan, Bell and Prior. the were en route to NZ to join up with the 1 days players for the Test series. I the days before selfies I got a picture with the skipper.

When I worked in London I had to go through a secure cage with a door into and out of the cage to get into the building. Once during my return from lunch I could hear footsteps coming up the stairs behind me so I delayed my entry to the cage to see who it was: it was my worse nightmare, the person behind me was none other than the original Prince of Darkness, Christopher Lee. Having checked his entitlement to be in the building I had to suffer being locked in the secure cage until the other door opened to let us both into the secure area. I was papping myself as I grew up on these movies and his presence was immense.

I also use to see the great George Best all the time in the Worlds End pub on Kings Road and had a few chats with him whilst at the bar. Very nice guy and always had time for people

I'm just picturing in my mind Jimmy Hill's reaction to being vomited on, in Jimmy Hill style. It's quite amusing.

Haha ! “Well Gary, the approach play wasn’t great. Lost control a couple of times, but at the end of the day, she hit the desired target, and that was a relief to everyone in the Service Station.”
