Very very telling is that. Thanks the players and his staff. Who doesn't he thank?

The board who haven't had the decency to publicly thank him for the position he got us in to before he was fired prematurely without a stonewall plan in place.

The fanbase that said his Football that got us to 5th was **** and called him a sad Scottish bustard and would chant Neil Collins get out of our club.

No mention of the fans in that piece, which most managers and head coaches do on leaving.

He was thanked by Maladan which I assume was on behalf of the board.
I think his none acknowledgment of the fans is justified in a lot of cases.Especially those who didn't want him from day one and carried their crusade until he was gone and the vile chants aimed at him in the latter games.
Just think about it ,he uprooted his family from the States ,he put his heart and souls into his job and then just as the playoffs was in touch he was sacked.I think his lasting memory of Oakwell will be the abuse from some supporters and not those behind the scenes.

The alleged association of these cretins who are not supporters of BFC made me feel ashamed of my club.

Those that sacked him should have thanked him, not leave it to the lackey on their behalf. Can't blame him with the fans when his last memory of them will be coming to applaud them at full time at Blackpool (despite all the bile chanted about him during the game) and being sworn at with hand gestures. I hope he knows those people are a tiny minority and most of us don't agree.

The board should have backed him in January. They didn't and the rest was history. All season fans were asking what happens if Cole loses his form? Ignored it, rolled the dice and lost. The one glimmer of light Pines got injured straight away too. Calamitous season.

If he had the team playing any sort of half decent football, would maybe have more sympathy. Even without the board injecting more cash in January, he still had a far better squad than 95% of the division yet had them playing by the end of his tenure, relegation style football. Absolutely zero quality on show. Add to that it was horrible to watch. Board did the right thing 100%. Just don't make the same mistake in the next appointment.
