    I would. Shown he's still capable, at least at this level with Blackpool and would be an adequate replacement for Cole.

    He's got a soft spot for us. I think he'd come back. When we played Blackpool at home he was stood next to the east stand getting dee dar chants and laughed at them and said "I'm one of you".

    I’d have said yes but if we’re playing the press under Stendel he’d be no good for that.

    Still wouldn’t surprise me if he got a good move in the Champ. A free agent and experienced, someone will take a punt on him for the season. Wouldn’t surprise me if he ended up back at Blackburn.

    Worth having as someone to bring on for the last half hour of games and maybe the odd start. Can't imagine we'd sign him though unless we're completely changing our recruitment policy.

    He'd have been really good several years ago. He wouldn't be good now. And the board would never sanction this type of player anyway. Too expensive, poor resale and potential improvement virtually nil. Its a no from me even if he would be capable of getting a few goals (which he would be). Not good for the club now.

    The bare bones of his stats for Blackpool this season are 19 appearances 15 goals. That's some strike rate.

    He was but moved onto Ipswich when his dad got the goalkeeping coach job down there.

    He used to play for Hoyland Common Falcons as well.

    Better goals per game than Cole. Done it at every club he's been at, unlike Cole who had purple patch last season of about five months. Why is age so important? I feel a lot of our fans have been conditioned by the board to feel that anyone in their 30s is worthless for us. I genuinely think some of our fans wouldn't sign a Hendrie/Wilkinson type any more because of their age, even if they can still do it on the pitch.

    Why would we not want a proven goalscorer if he's within our budget ? Could make a great partnership with Cosgrove.

    Would we get a full season out of him?

    one thing i admired under Val was we seemed to have found 2x2 striker pairings and while it was a predictable formula, have two starting attacking players replaced like for like on 65 mins worked well for us. Would he fit a 2nd wave of striker for us
