If you're not signed into twitter, and you go on their account, it brings tweets up in order of how many people have interacted with it. I looked at the first 10 yesterday, and apart from the ones which were rehashing confirmed transfers, none of them had come to fruition.
Saving the best till last... Southampton Watford and West Bromwich are interested in Barnsley's Callum Styles
Problem is though, when they inevitably turn out to be ********, the club and board get a right earful as though we've lost out, as though we were ever actually in for them lol... same with managers at the minute. Make up a rumour out of thin air > doenst happen because its made up > we're not ambitious enough and board need to leave/give JAQ loads of abuse. Thats usually how it goes.
The club gets pelters because it's not doing and as not done very well of late. So much so that some of its decisions get questioned and some are even made fun of..
It's clear that recruitment and communication in particular have been poor this last season in particular, and I think we all get that. I think @Tyke The Tree-Frog 's point was that, particularly with these unsubstantiated rumours, the club get pelters based on things that aren't even true. If the chap in the rumour you just posted signs for Stockport, it'll be another one for a section of our fan base to say "another target missed" even though the likelihood is, we weren't interested in the first place.
Spot on, mate. Id also say Sopwith is being very generous saying 'some are even made fun of'. I obviously understand he doesn't mean the abuse & downright misogyny in regards to JAQ, but it really is constant bless her.
Ok mate you can lump together in your head what scenarios you want.. A full mirror will be held up this summer which will reflect ALL aspects of the club .. both good and bad.. And the board DOF and the recruitment team will.. be held accountable for what appears. If we don't have a ' pot to p155 in' then I'd get that.. But just be honest, in the long run the club would be praised for it and it might even bring in a ' us against the world ' mentality.
A mirror should be held up mate i completely agree. The issues I have is when people make up rumours or issues and then berate the club or tar them all with the same brush, or accuse members about things outside of said members control. Over the past 18 months I cannot believe how some of our fans have behaved, they've disgusted me at times bud. The season under Michael duff the board almost got it perfect. It was bad refereeing and unlucky timing in the final that ultimately was our downfall. The board this season have had a relatively poor season despite still reaching play offs. In my opinion they deserve time to improve upon those mistakes - certainly without abuse we've seen constantly on twitter.
I hope not but he needs moving on not just for himself but for the good of the club. Release wages plus his head and heart is no longer in it at Oakwell.
