Tough division on paper that. Us, Bolton, Rotherham, Huddersfield, Birmingham, Peterborough, Blackpool, Lincoln and Charlton will expect to be up there. You'd imagine Stockport and Wrexham will have a healthy budget to compete too. Reading and Wigan will be expected to improve if they don't suffer further points deductions.

It makes getting the managerial appointment right more imperative.

I think everyone will finish tied on 69 points. I can't pick a winner.

I’ll go with that. We win alphabetically.

8 teams in L1 who have been in the premier division relatively recently.
11 maybe 12 with potentially 10k plus average attendances.
Its going to be a tough season for us unless we get the head coach appointment correct and we have a very good summer transfer window.

Some of the distances look a bit iffy. The ones that immediately stood out were Reading and Charlton - it's got to be further to SE London than Reading, on the M4. So I checked and Google tells me it's 175 miles to Reading and 204 to Charlton.

Where's your starting point? I can get either 199 miles (quickest currently and same as given by OP) or 190 miles (shortest). That's from Oakwell to Reading's ground. Be interested to see how you've cut another 15 miles off the journey.

Could it be the M25 adding miles on?

I wasn't postcode specific. I just did Barnsley to Reading. Seems to be using M1, A43, M40

Interestingly, you are right, doing it on exact postcodes adds another 14 miles, although it looks to be the same basic route. Which is proper odd.

Shame Donny didn’t make it up and the Fowls didn’t take the drop.

I get what point the OP is making we've got some travelling to do next season. He could have put them in order (hence my cig packet comment).
