Maybe just me but see a lot of posts about renewing or not, are you awaiting who they appoint etc. To me renewing is never a question, as BFC have and always will be my team. The only consideration should be the financial implications, not who the manager is……unless it’s Joey Barton

I hate the whole 'I want a refund' culture that seems to be a thing now. But if Joey Barton was announced, that would be me done with the football club.

I agree but a lot of folk in the modern era don’t think that way. There’s a lot more stuff people can spend money on these days. It’s never been a decision for me, I just do it regardless.

I'm careful with money. And a proper yorkshireman. :). So will allus renew at the early bird. regardless.
Not a better fan. Just a prudent one. :)
    Like thousands of others.
And genuinely, out of the dozens of fans I know. Not one has not renewed. Although i do think numbers will be down for whatever reason. (Financial. Fickle, etc.) It'll be interesting the count at early bird deadline.

Pre-match pints in Heaven and Ale with my mates. It'll take more than Boardroom incompetence to pull me away from Oakwell. I was at Oakwell long before them, I'm 3rd generation BFC. Not a better fan because being at Oakwell on match days beats being at Meadowhall.

I won’t be getting a season ticket as I can’t guarantee I can make every match due to working shifts so I’ll be a casual ticket buyer or as some put it on here not a real fan

The new EFL deal is turning people off becuase there will be even more games next season at silly kick off times and last season was bad enough.

Re third generation you set me thinking.
Of our family still watching (still alive)
    4 x 1st (including yours truly )
    3 x 2nd (1 sadly passed away)
    6 x 3rd

10 of us sit together. Along with 4 mates.
    Other 3 with their mates.

Seen great teams, seen average teams, seen shocking teams.
Seen great managers, seen average managers, seen shocking managers.
Seen great owners, seen average owners, seen shocking owners.

The club will always be bigger than any player, manager or owner, its the fans that matter without fans it's pointless.

I'll be there, not expecting us to turn up playing like Citeh week in week out, just like to see passion, hunger and application, get a couple of wise heads on the pitch blended with sensible signings to compliment what we have and keep the young uns coming through.

I dont know if that's a visual experience or a jokey comment lol. But you are right. Just the nature of of the beast. I think I sit in my allocated seat 20% of the time. If one or two don't rock up its musical chairs lol.

There will always be fans who will turn up regardless and I'm not criticising them people they are the life blood of the club. The criticism of people who want some clarity is bit harsh after all we are supposed to go to football be entertained and other than the handful of games even under Duff it's been in short supply over the few seasons. The last time I really looked forward to going to Oakwell even though we've had success since was the Stendal promotion season. I much prefer flying by the seat of our pants than watching a game of chess,ya pays ya money ya makes ya choice.

As the football's been so poor, I found myself people-watching last season and observed the musical-chairs! Sit just behind you.....

Look mate you'll always get the type of fan who will stand in the rain just to watch the players training..
Not everyones the same .. if you're relying on people to renew out of a sense of duty or Barnsleyness.. then I really do think that things have gone beyond desperate..

Build it and they will come..
