Didn't Bobby say he and Clarke had a good relationship and he trusted him when Shepherd went to Cheltenham on loan!
He should have been in charge. Its his fault they lost those matches because he wasn't their manager.
Ugh, just seen a photo of him and he's dressed like Tony Pulis. A hard no from me. Even worse than Collins' brown shoes and blue trousers.
Ahh yes another positive, he’s worked with Sheperd so can hopefully get the best out of him. He’s from Mansfield aswell so assume he must know Bobby in some capacity
We'll be popular with the Cheltenham fans again' doesn't seem a bad shout to be honest' hope the Houriane thing gets over the line.
Doug O'kane posted 11:25 am BREAKING: Darrell Clarke is set to join Barnsley FC as head coach. He has left Cheltenham Town. Clarke was part of the process all along and has now been selected as the new head coach.
Due to their turn around in form. After 14 games they were 9 points from safety and had a goal difference of -19. Had they won their last game of the season they would have avoided relegation.

Must admit, when I saw Doug’s tweets I was a bit “who?” but reading on him now, I’m fairly optimistic with this. I know Cheltenham got relegated last season but he nearly turned them around from what not even scoring in their first 9 games under the previous manager. Their fans seem gutted which is generally a good sign. Looks like we may be sticking with the 3 centre backs.
