Box to box Midfielder too, so I expect he will put together a team that's much more on the front foot and pleasing on the eye.
Now we have a Head Coach that clearly knows how the lower League works like Duff did. I think this will pan out well. There's the nucleus of a squad and no people out of contract.

Pros - 450 games as a player, 630 games as a manager, four play offs and a promotion under his belt. Cons - relegated in his last job with a 31% WR, seems to dick about with team selection
To be fair the two relegations with Bristol rovers he took then straight back up and this season with Cheltenham they were long odds on to go down when he got the job and he nearly pulled if off.
Wears a baseball cap in club colours on the touchline despite being a 46 year old white man from Mansfield
I actually think he’d be a decent choice. Local lad from Mansfield, done well for himself despite several major personal setbacks in life. Likes attacking football and tough characters. Doesn’t want to be just scraping by. Knows the leagues very well. Makes more sense than Stendel IMO.
I totally agree if there sure he's the right man regardless of any as they say outside noise they need a plan and stick to it and hopefully he will too.
I'd be happy with it. Does he have any backroom staff that have stayed with him through his other jobs?
My demands of a manager are really pretty basic. Move forwards with the ball, towards their goals, get 5 shots on target and concede less than 2 goals per game. Speak plainly, be honest and don’t over promise. Stick to that and we’ll get on just fine.
