    Interesting! I'll be glad to see us going with someone with extensive experience of the English game. Although to be picky, he's lacking in top end League One or Championship experience which would be a bonus.

    Character wise, he certainly seems like a good un who might well get the Barnsley mentality. And someone who might actually for once be relatively 'medium haul'!

    I hope we (board and fans) back him when the going's tough and give him what he needs to build something.

    Yes. I rate Ferry and saw him play three, or four times last season. Pacey left wing back. Probably needs to improve his crossing, but definitely one to bring with him - along with Southwood.

    Only issue around Southwood is the injury he has. Not sure how long he will be out for. If it wasn't for that he'd be an absolute no brainer for me regardless of Clarke coming or not.

    Be happy if this gets done, solid appointment knows this league did some great things at Rovers, unlucky at Vale they thought they were going to get better and almost pulled off mission impossible at Cheltenham.

    No complaints here, fingers crossed this one lasts longer than 1 season and we can get behind him and build.
