I know you're reading. The "connection" and "communication" you state you're seeking with the Head Coach (see quote below taken from the 'Darrell Clarke Appointed As Head Coach' announcement) "I had the most immediate connection with Darrell and appreciated how open and direct he was when we spoke. I believe for Barnsley to be successful in the coming seasons, clear and open communication and alignment between us both will be key." Well that's the sort of "connection" and "communication" you should be looking to build with your fan base. If not, you're just another faceless bureaucrat. If you want Barnsley to be successful then you have to front up and not hide behind the desk. Think on.
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. It's an impressive appointment for this level. Just like Duff was. Unfortunately, as you say it isn't just him that has to deliver. If he isn't backed he'll perform no better than the previous guy although the style will be different.
Or the Twitterati who throw a hissy fit because Rotherham United have signed a couple of free transfers in May.
And the fact most players, managers, coaches and also staff to an extent are away on holiday - they’re humans after with families….. We’ve taken our time, not rushed it, and appointed in plenty of time. No point releasing updates when there isn’t any.
Couldn't care less in the grand scheme of things. This communication thing is a really recent thing people are speaking about. As long as there is no major issues, I'll let the football do the talking!
