Conor has been freelance coaching our u16 and villas u16 since September last year. That post has lazily clipped the interview he did with the athletic amd made a claim he's there permanently. The same interview where it says he's expected to join Barnsley as a player/coach to continue on the next step of his transition towards becoming a coach.

DoF states it during his interview.

Quite clear they had a shortlist, and each shortlisted had a list of suitable players against it who would suit the new coach, with of course agreement and input from the coach.

Essentially, the club are well ahead of the curve and switched on.

Some folk forget that our DoF, CEO and Club Secretary are actually well respected within our industry and know what they are doing. And for the argument, if something doesn’t happen, there’s a very good reason behind it.
