Could be a good appointment, Darrell Clarke. Has League 1 and promotion experience. It may be that we have to settle for a rebuild next year as a partly new team is assembled. We need 5 or 6 first teamers. If we’d gone for an inexperienced foreign or young English coach we could be looking at a relegation battle. We could still make the Play-Offs but it’ll be a much tougher league than last year.

Not according to his interview. He wants to go for promotion. Sounds extremely ambitious.

Historically he has always done well when he’s moved lot of players out and in.

Agree think he'll like more of a blank canvass.

I know we need new players to come in and I am positive that we will have a good summer recruitment drive.

I also think we have a decent squad even as it stands, which may now be stronger with the likes of kane Cadden Cole Williams leaving and opening up the squad players to take their places.
Time for Jalo Watters Russell Pines Cosgrove to step up to be regular starters.
New keeper and left back essential
Hourihane would be a massive bonus.

Any other signings could make us far stronger than last year with Clarke driving them on.

I get the impression with him that his success is less to do with tactics/formation etc. but more to do with having a group of players with the right mindset/attitude.
Seems to be able to make the whole greater than the sum of the parts. I expect us to be in a similar league position next year to this.
